Simple Roasted Red Pepper Sauce

Sauces give any meal a delicious and colorful upgrade. However, not all sauces are created equal. This one is packed with antioxidants, healthy fats, and immune supporting garlic. So if you want to add a little pizzazz to steamed broccoli, fish, or anything else, try some roasted red pepper sauce. When in doubt, put a sauce on it!

Ingredients:

  • 1 16-oz jar fire-roasted red peppers

  • 5 garlic cloves

  • ½ cup whole raw walnuts

  • ½ tsp sea salt

  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

  1. Drain jar of roasted red peppers and peel garlic, cutting ends off.

  2. Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse until incorporated. Consider adding more or less extra virgin olive oil or walnuts depending on how thick or thin you want your sauce.

  3. Serve on vegetables, fish, meat, poultry, or eggs.

Servings: 4-6 (depending on how saucy you are!)
